The Manila City Hall is one of the distinct landmarks in the Philippines. The building is located in the center of tourism area where major government buildings like The National Museum, Museum of the Filipino People, the Department of Tourism, and Rizal Park are located. It is also located just outside the oldest and most historic part of the city of Manila – the walled city of Intramuros.
The building has hexagonal tower with three red-faced clock, which was unveiled in 1930. The clock tower has become a trademark for Manila and the Manila City Hall. It is recognized as the largest clock tower in the Philippines. The bell in the tower rings during break time of the employees, and at the end of working day. During Christmas season, the tower plays Christmas carols heard outside the Manila City Hall.
